#BlogBattle: Moon

Calling all writers and wordsmiths. Blog Battle is back so come join our community and see where the prompts take you.

Let’s face it, any writing is better than no writing. If the WIP is draining the will to drink coffee, step out and try something totally different.

Engage with authors and writers and the rewards will speak for themselves.

August 2018 Blog Battle

Our word this month is:

Moon

Any photos included with the prompt are only for your benefit as a pinch of inspiration. They don’t need to dictate your theme or story genre. Only the Word of the Month counts! Photos are thanks to various photographers from Unsplash.com

You can start writing at any time, but make sure you post your story by the 30th of the month to have it considered for Top Story by your friendly, incorrigible encouraging Blog Battle admins!

Once you’ve posted your story to your blog, put a link to it in the comments section, and we’ll add your story to the Battle Stories Line-up post.

Make sure to check back and read some of the stories of your fellow battlers. Leave comments to encourage these writers, and share each other’s stories!

The battler whose story is chosen in a given month…

Read. Inspire. #BlogBattle

#BlogBattle returns in August. This is where I first met Rachael Ritchey and after many discussions the challenge is resurrected. Spread the word and join in. Meet new writers and practice your craft. What can go wrong?

BlogBattle

Share your work. Read that of other writers.

Blog Battle is coming back AUGUST 7th, 2018! Mark your calendar, my friend!

What is Blog Battle, you might ask? It’s a monthly writing prompt to inspire writers and entertain readers.

This is it! Blog Battle’s Glorious Return

We’ve all heard how writing is a lonely business. Well, I think we’ve all heard it. And if not, now we have. But in the world of the internet, writing doesn’t have to be nearly so isolated a pursuit!

Blog Battle isn’t your typical writing prompt. At our core, we want to create relationships, build life-long writer friendships, and encourage each other to become better writers than we were yesterday.

Admittedly, this means a little extra work. BUT! It is worth it. People are worth it. The value we gain from connecting with other writers who are on the same journey we are cannot be measured by analytics…

Update On Battle Status

Let the stories begin! Rachael Ritchey has been broken down at long last to revisit Blog Battle.

Yes, you heard it right Blog Battle is coming back.

Never heard of it? Shame on you. Were part if it then get thinking….

On an aside I can now hound you too, because…. I’m an editor on this now too. More info coming soon.

BlogBattle

As you’ve noticed, the battle has sat dormant for many months. It is still here because I cannot let it go. I love the battle. BUT we are getting ourselves dusted off and set aright once again.

What is my point, you ask?

The point is BlogBattle is coming back! Yes. You heard me right. We will battle once again. There will be changes, so be prepared.

The good news? The parts of battle we all liked best will be back, and all the stuff that bogged it down will be wiped away. We’ll prompt once a month, genre requirements will disappear, your stories will be listed, and there will be opportunity to be found and read by the waiting world. Voting will be gone, but there’ll still be incentive to participate in the form of my (and possibly one or two other admin’s consensus) top pick for the…

Back in November, I got this hairbrained idea to put together a short story contest based off a book cover I’d randomly been designing just for kicks. I put some feelers out, and BAM! some people were like, “Heck yeah! I wanna do that.” SO here we are!

It was an absolute blast reading all the entries…well, all except the judging part. I would rather not do that part, but the stories are inspiring. It’s thrilling to see all the passion and talent.

Thank you to every person who submitted to the contest! The coolest part is that we’re going to put together an anthology of Adventurous Scifi & Fantasy stories. Once we’ve polished these babies up and made them shine, we’ll slap ’em into…

Announcing My 2018 Interview Series

Don Massenzio is looking for authors to interview in the coming year. If you fancy a slot get in quick before they fill up.

Author Don Massenzio

Hello,

With the new year, I’m announcing a re-vamped author interview series. During the past two years, I have interviewed nearly 200 authors and have compiled these interviews into an author directory. I would like to add to this list in 2018.

My current plan is to post one author interview per week on Fridays. I have a new set of questions that should give your readers deeper insight into your writing process. Since I’m limiting these interviews to one per week (a maximum of 52) I will be spending more time making them look good to help you drive more readers to your work.

These interviews are open to those of you that have participated previously. If you have something to promote or just want to increase your exposure across a new group of followers, please come and participate. Please feel free to share this post with your…
