It is with some sadness that I find this week draws an end to the Kindness Challenge whose gauntlet was thrown down seven weeks ago by Niki Lopez. A metaphysical journey wandering through mindfulness and taking stock of ones thoughts; ordering them, as it were. Continue reading “Kindness Challenge Reflections”

And so ends week six of the Niki Lopez Kindness challenge. Another thoughtful exercise into people that have been inspirational influences on life. This has been a challenge in itself. So many and how to condense them into one post! Continue reading “Inspirational Kindness”

Welcome to my week five musings on Niki Lopez’s kindness challenge. I’ve decided to focus on gratitude and what it means in my world. To wit you are now embarking, as I, in a journey upon the empty page as it fills with whatever. I am, however, grateful for your presence. Continue reading “Gratitude in Kindness”

Week four ends as rapidly as it’s predecessor leaving me once more convinced time is, indeed, not quite so linear as certain physicists would have me believe. A topic I preambled in The Habituation Loop last week. No need to re-ponder, but instead move swiftly into this weeks random acts of kindness courtesy of my good blogging friend Niki Lopez. Continue reading “A Random Act of Kindness”

How time flies, or appears to; relativity in action as it were. A case of find something you hate doing and watch it go backwards. Balance and theoretical consistency is neatly maintained by fast forwards when doing something uber cool. Low level default mind can have the same effect; stealing time and throwing it back out several days later with no real recollection of the bits inbetween. Autopilot as it were, or zombie mind if you prefer a modern take (more on that later) I digress (becoming a theme that) and must begin my reflections on week three of Niki Lopez’s kindness challenge. Continue reading “The Habituation Loop”

So, week two of the mindfulness challenge, courtesy of Niki Lopez, already has me nearing a deadline that has appeared from nowhere and dropped me right in it. Why? No idea what to put in this post. Not a very mindful way to begin, but one might consider it could be from the alternate viewpoint of it never being far from my thoughts. This week I’ve been looking for random acts of kindness and that, in turn, has had me thinking other thinks which lead to the title of this non-directional ramble. Continue reading “The Kindness Hunger”

A week ago, although it seems rather longer, Niki Lopez initiated a challenge. Not the sort I’d normally do because it’s one that drags you inside yourself to explore stuff that usually gets boxed up and ignored. Part of that default mind. The one that runs day to day business without too much thinking, well, apart from catastrophising that is. Continue reading “The Kindness Clause”
And so we arrive at the conclusion of this three day quotation challenge themed on Genius to Insanity. A very liberal interpretation but having journeyed through Einstein and Poe we arrive at madness and a book by Lewis Carrol you might have heard of entitled Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Not that Carrol was mad…far from it…it takes total genius to pluck this from the imagination…. Continue reading “Quote Challenge Day #3”
