Wanting a New Writing Challenge This Year? Then Try The #BlogBattle this January and Join Our Writing Community.

Calling all writers and wordsmiths. A New Year, new challenges and #BlogBattle is here so come join our community and see where the prompts take you.

Let’s face it, any writing is better than no writing. If the WIP is draining the will to drink coffee, step out and try something totally different.

Engage with authors and writers and the rewards will speak for themselves.

Each month there is a new prompt. Entries are welcome any time up to the end of that month. 1000 words is a maximum, not a target. Any genre, any writing.

You can start writing at any time, but make sure you post your story by the 30th of the month to be put in the running to be highlighted by your friendly, incorrigible encouraging Blog Battle admins!

Once you’ve posted your story to your blog, put a link to it in the comments section, and we’ll add your story to the Battle Stories Line-up post.

Make sure to check back and read some of the stories of your fellow battlers. Leave comments to encourage these writers, and share each other’s stories!

You can start writing at any time, but make sure you post your story by the 30th of the month to come into the running for featured writer by your friendly, incorrigible  encouraging Blog Battle admins!

The featured writer is by no means the ultimate story of the month. We are trying to develop a supportive community, increase engagement and shout out battlers.  To do this we need to pick one of our regular participants and give them a spotlight. The aim is to rotate who this is and give them exposure on social media.

Once you’ve posted your story to your blog, put a link to it in the comments section on the following link and we’ll add your story to the Battle Stories Line-up post.

Link your story here for pingbacks or post the URL to it.

    1. Your timing is excellent. The new prompt is out this week. First on the BlogBattle site and here on mine on Thursday. Be fabulous to see you involved!

        1. Hard not to Marje as it’s very similar to how I view the world as an older character too. I must dig out a piece I did before on a mind losing itself in dementia. Or…maybe I should just get the book it’s in published 🤔

    1. Thanks Christy, the link to the actual BlogBattle page is in the post. We’re always trying to get people using it to practice writing and developing a community.

    1. We think so Robbie. Great for fast fiction writing, practice, idea testing and, in my case, back story scene generating. Win win for me!

    1. Great place to visit Marje. Hope to see you join in. I’m certain you’ll find inspiration somewhere. It’s also a good way to test ideas too. I’ve an immense amount of back story generated via prompts!!
