Quote Challenge Day # 1

I received this quote challenge a few days ago from Intentergy. At the time life was being stubborn, it still is after a drediting fashion, so delay was inevitable but I have decided upon a theme for my response….genius to insanity.

Beginning with genius; Albert Einstein on idiocy.

Quote number one

This is an interesting ponderance if the premiss begins with technology makes our lives easier. At what point does it turn to so easy that unnoticed laziness becomes the norm? Creeping up like that slow cataract formation degrading vision over time but not noticed properly until things are opaque. An elderly friend had this very issue until they were removed and lo, let there be light…not going blind after all. of course the same parallel (same dimension but different point in time) found a similar eye related epiphany upon slowly crawling from the back row in a school classroom to the front row. In this case a young friend asked me if I could see properly. After the normalised rebuff and denial an eye test suggested corrective myopic measures be taken and lo, trees were not just bunches of green. They had leaves and stuff. The back of the classroom was mine again ๐Ÿ˜

Quote number two

Infinity is a strange beast. How big is it and finite it must be on the basis there are an infinite number of, well, numbers between 1 and 2 but the summation of this infinite series is in fact 2. There are other weird examples involving fractions and decimals but this is not the stuff of philosophical debate but a series on idiocy fronted by a genius…although, topically, both terms are relative. For those that know me the words ‘to be clear’ will immediately conjure up my thoughts on politicos as they set about a twenty minute (on a good day) diatribe being precisely the opposite. Oddly they seem to gather large followings by saying nothing of substance at all. Contentious it may be, but I suspect the category here is not infinite and Einsteins quote is genius ๐Ÿค”

Quote number 3

Not too disparate from quote number two and obviously Einstein ย thought much on this subject inbetween relativity and general theories pertaining to it and many more. I resist mentioning politicos here but one may ask the question…why is Homer Simpson funny? If humour reflects real life then the infamous DOH clearly (political gibberish now follows de facto) meant of us iterate tasks without change on a daily basis. An example might be vocalising at failing inanimate objects, namely technology, that is somehow humanised in moments of DOH that declares them stupid. It is highly possible I fall foul of this form of idiocy ๐Ÿค”

Rules of the challenge

(Copied from the nomination by Intentergy’s post)

If you accept the challenge, post 1-3 quotes for three days and nominate three other wonderfully talented bloggers to the challenge as well.

For my part I’d like to see if the following three bloggers will participate, although at this point in time I’m not sure if I’m supposed to nominate three bloggers per day…these are picked from commenters as penitence for, well, being brilliant enough to stop by. On the assumption it’s a daily nomination process if you would like to be nominated brush aside the tumbleweed below and let me know otherwise I’ll just pick some more illustrious commenters and it could be you anyway ๐Ÿ™ƒ

  1. Trulyunplugged
  2. ย Aura With Writing
  3. Writing Wrong Things

Think of it as shameless blog cross promotion if it pleases you more ๐Ÿ˜

  1. This is genius writing!!
But why did ya have to reference math?? (shudders while wailing)
I was having a perfectly fine time reading, and suddenly BLAM! there was my nemesis hitting me squarely in the face! Oh no, I did it myself!!!

    1. Don’t say that because it means the bar gets raised and all subsequent work will, by comparison, be pants…..but truly…is math that scary? Best not mention my science backdrops then ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

      1. Uh oh! Too late! The bar has already been raised. My bad!
Oh yes, that “m” word is scarier than The Absent Child!!
When I taught 5th grade, I was in constant fear that a student would ask a question I couldn’t answer! I white knuckled that manual everyday, praying!
        Oh no! Science too?????

        1. Hmm…new thought…quit whilst ahead….might solve that predicament ๐Ÿ™ƒ
Crumbs…that must have been well stressful!!

            1. Not the optimal career choice then really….although teaching is a wonderful thing to do… So kudos there methinks ๐Ÿ˜‡
But to cause such anxiety is not nice ๐Ÿ’

Hmm quitting….I have pondered thus….if I can’t decide what to do with my book then I’m in deep trouble ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

              1. Yes, thanks. I only THOUGHT I wanted to be a teacher! Until I went back to it in my 40s. I no longer could hang 10.
PLEASE don’t quit blogging!! You’d be very missed!! And Vanronica would need a new keeper, after my death!

                1. Only thoughts can be strange ones…they pursuade you to do all sorts of strange things ๐Ÿ™ƒ
Somehow, methinks, blogging is not close to stopping at all…the community is most invaluable now ๐Ÿ˜Š
But no scary thought about new van ownerships just yet….we only just met ๐Ÿ‘ป

                  1. Yeeesss, so true! YAY!! I don’t want you to ever stop, since we just met, as you say! And I promise to do my best to live a long time! Well, longish, not like 100 or anything!

    1. I’m sure there are loads more…although I find Einsteins observations on the subject funny and suddenly I feel a shade less isolated in the myopic lunacy before it was officially determined ๐Ÿ™ƒ

    1. Sadly one tends to ramble when the mood descends. I also rather like quotes which is why they ballooned from just one to all three. Overkill maybe but what the heck ๐Ÿ˜‡

Thanks for the nomination though. Been a bit of unexpected fun ๐Ÿ™ƒ

        1. Unless you refer to an inarcerated crazy with penchant for psychotic axe wielding felonies…that would be bad…however if you refer to then internal crazy responsible for writing…then today’s mind behind the quotes was awsome….truly awesome. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

    1. Excellent lol….can’t wait to see this side of you !! I’ve got my next two sets of quotes already ready….as it were…hope they work on my theme ๐Ÿค”

      1. Just finished posting Quote number 1 for Day 1. I decided to post 1 each day because I tend to say a lot of things and I always get lost in between my words. lol

        1. You do?? Well, I have never noticed you do that before…much….๐Ÿ˜œ

I didn’t see it in my reader this morning. Will have to hunt you down and find it ๐Ÿค”
